On the day of resurrection, Allah honors those who took care of their children and taught them Quran even if they themselves were ignorant!

The messenger of Allah says:

“The Quran will come on the Day of Resurrection like a pale man saying to its companion, “Do you recognize me? I am the one who made you stay up at night and made you thirsty during the day…” Then he will be given dominion in his right hand and eternity in his left, and a crown of dignity will be placed upon his head, and his parents will be clothed with garments which far surpass everything to be found in this world. They will say, “O Lord, how did we earn this.” It will be said to them, “Because you taught your child the Qur’aan.”

 “Whoever reads the Quran, learns it, and acts in accordance with it, on the Day of Resurrection, his parents will be given a crown to wear whose light will be like the light of the sun, and his parents will be given garments which far surpass everything that is found in this world. They will say, ‘Why have we been given this to wear?’ It will be said, ‘Because your child learned the Quran.”

Being absolved of the sin of being lax with rearing children

The prophet (pbuh) said “All of you are guardians and all of you will be questioned concerning those under his guardianship and the man is the guardian over his family, and he will be questioned concerning those under his guardianship…”

The reward of guiding to something good

The prophet (pbuh) said, “Whoever guides to something good is like the one who does it.”

You will also get the continuous reward of instilling Islam in their hearts, the love of this religion and the Book of Allah.

The prophet (pbuh) said,” Whoever invites to guidance will receive the reward like the rewards of those who follow him and that will not diminish from their rewards…”

Your child will benefit you even after your death!

For indeed the prophet stipulated righteousness in the child (for the parent to receive blessings from him).

He said (pbuh), “When the son of Adam dies his deeds are cut off except for from three things.” From those three things mentioned, “Or a righteous child who supplicates for him.”

Benefiting the Ummah

Benefiting the Ummah (Muslim nation) and taking part in producing a righteous nation that will preserve the Book of Allah. This will make them righteous and they will make others righteous as well.
